I have been working as part of the Enterprise Library V3 Team in Redmond for the last few months. I have been mainly working in the new Block Factory feature; this is a Guidance Package for creating your own blocks and provider libraries. Tom has published a good introductory post about it and I am planning to post a series of entries showing how you can build your own blocks from scratch using this guidance. This probably will include:

• Create your new Block
• Create a Provider Hierarchy (this is the base types for your new providers)
• Create you Providers and its configuration
• Create the design-time support for your new block
• Extend the new block creating a Provider Library
